Taruchi Trait Index & Playground
Last weekend, I spent some time exploring a game called Asphodel: Prologue. Then, I built trait index for the cute creatures in that world, named Taruchi. I'll also share the tiny, fun playground for taruchi in this post.

Asphodel is an immortal on-chain world that lives on Ethereum.[1] Asphodel: Prologue is an onchain autobattler, where Taruchi battle in the arena in order to Ascend. It is an introduction to the world of Asphodel.[2] And now it's in its playtest phase (originally scheduled for 1 week, but now extended for an extra week). This means you can play it for free, but you might need to learn how to use a crypto wallet first.
I always appreciated the nostalgic pixel art in the games that Asphodel Studio produced, like my favorite game Kamigotchi. I also made my first community tool, a kamigotchi index, for it. Now that I can freely browse taruchi by rerolling without worrying about the cost during the playtest, I want to become one of the big fans who checks and indexes all the traits of taruchi. :3

The official docs don't list all the traits, so I asked some LLMs to help me discover the data, below are what we found via browser console. (Read basic info about the traits of taruchi here.)
Taruchi Playground#
As for the playground I mention in the title, you can view taruchi with any possible trait combination. They're all stored at https://i.test.kamigotchi.io/taruchi/. The filename of a taruchi is a trait code which is just the 5 trait slot indices zero-padded to 2 digits each.
For example, if you visit this URL: https://i.test.kamigotchi.io/taruchi/0101010100.png, you'll see a taruchi exactly as its trait code describes:

From left to right, the order of the trait slots in the trait code is Body (01-blue), Eye (01-creepy), Mouth (01-cat), Equipment (01-ancient deed), and Flower (00-flowerless).
